The stages through which web application development process goes

The web application development process has been dynamic over the years as the internet has emerged quite suddenly as a strong alternative to traditional ways of conducting business. Indeed, the internet has been able to breach into such domains that is not accessible to any business representative. Interaction through the web application is the main problem that any web developer has to deal with. As the revenue generated by the B2C and B2B operations of the company is directly dependent on the performance of the web application, a comprehensive process needs to be followed from it.

The four stages of application development for the web

The first stage: In the first stage, the development process hinges around the preparation of a platform for the application. In this, the range of operations to be included in it would be defined. Features of the application would be based on the purpose, direction and goal of the whole process being undertaken. This is also the stage in time framing of the project wherein objectives need to be clarified along with future projections.

The second stage: In this stage, the resources to be utilized for application development need to be streamlined and allocated. The resources include the functional as well as visual details based on which the application can be made engaging. The end user should find the application easily downloadable for use. All the technical issues such as scripting language to be used and time for project completion.

The third stage: Structure and framework of operations are determined in the third stage of application development. This involves determining the procedures to be adopted for coding, entities to be used for the same, and identification of data variables. This stage is the one in which a sort of beta version of the application is out for the development team.

The last stage: The fourth and last stage of the web application development process is perhaps the most crucial one. In this, the preliminarily implemented web application is tested for evaluating whether it would meet the expectations for which it has been developed. This involves checking of security issues, functional issues, and all the issues that prevent the application from becoming fully stable, functional, secured and good to use for the end users.
